The first edition of the European Pan Series was a brainchild of famous 1/12th rc racers like Markus Mobers from Germany and Vesa Yli from Finland, they developed the plan to create the European Pan Series (EPS). Both racers are passionate about 1/12th scale racing and are both top-level international drivers.
This idea was discussed with RC companies and it was immediatly supported by Serpent & Xceed RC products as main sponsor of the event. To promote the racing with Pan type cars, this kind of series will assist to make this category grow bigger and stronger.
1/12th Scale racing is getting more popular again and the bigger brother 1/10th scale pan-racing (WGT) is becoming very popular too. The 1/12th scale cars are devided into T-bar cars and Link type cars, all types of cars and all brands are welcome at the EPS races.
The first edition in 2009/10 was held in 3 countries at 3 famous tracks like in Germany at the Sipotech track, in Belgium at the Zwevegem sport facility and the well know indoor MACH track in Holland at Haarlem.
